Session Recorder (In-Person Consultations)

The Session Recorder (?page=session-recorder&id=PATIENT_ID, the Recorder tab on a patient's chart) records an in-person clinician-patient conversation directly through the browser, transcribes it via speech-to-text, and lets you review/edit the AI-structured transcript before saving it as a clinical note — useful when there's no Zoom/video session to pull a transcript from.

Step-by-step

  1. Open the patient's chart → Recorder tab.
  2. Start recording at the beginning of the consultation (microphone permission required in the browser).
  3. Stop recording when the session ends.
  4. Wait for transcription to complete.
  5. Review the AI-structured transcript, edit as needed for accuracy.
  6. Save it as a clinical note attached to the patient.

Permissions & availability

Requires view_clinical_notes, and the session recording feature must be enabled for the clinic.

Common issues & fixes

check the session recording feature is enabled in Settings and the account has view_clinical_notes.
