Lab Settings (lab/pages/settings.php) is a set of feature toggles controlling exactly which parts of the Lab module are active — letting a clinic run a lighter-weight lab workflow if it doesn't need everything.
Toggles available
Lab Module — master switch; turning this off disables everything below.
Lab Orders — OPD/IPD test ordering.
External Report Upload — the existing OCR-based upload/trend flow for reports brought in from outside labs (this is the same feature used from a patient's chart).
Sample Tracking — barcode accessioning, phlebotomy worklist, and sample receiving.
Manual Result Entry — structured result entry against orders.
Two-Step Verification — requires a different user to verify each result than the one who entered it.
PDF/Print Report — NABL-format report generation.
Instrument Interfacing — master switch for HL7/ASTM/CSV ingestion from analyzers.

Toggle each feature according to what your lab actually uses.

Common issues & fixes
check whether its specific toggle (or the master "Lab Module" toggle) was turned off.
