Record Import (?page=record-import&id=X) turns scanned or photographed paper records — old prescriptions, discharge summaries, handwritten notes — into a clean, editable clinical note. It uses OCR followed by AI extraction to structure the content.
Step-by-step
- From a patient's Notes tab, choose Import old records.
- Upload the scanned image(s) or PDF.
- PDFs longer than 3 pages are automatically split into smaller batches on your device before upload (OCR service limitation), each batch processed and then recombined.
- Wait for processing — status and page progress are shown for each import.
- Review the AI-generated note, edit as needed, and save it into the patient's clinical notes.
