Front desk, Adminspatient-portalenablesetupcredentials
Patient portal access is turned on from the staff side — on the patient's record in the main app, not something a patient can self-register unless they book through the public Walk-in Portal flow.
Step-by-step
Open the patient's record (or the registration form for a new patient).
Check Enable patient portal.
Enter/confirm the Portal Email.
Enter a Portal Password (minimum 8 characters) — when editing an existing patient, leave this blank to keep their current password unchanged.
Save the patient.
Share the login details with the patient (email + password, or instruct them to use Forgot Password to set their own).
Common issues & fixes
double-check the portal email is correct and matches what the patient is entering; password is case-sensitive.
only fill the password field when you intend to change it; leaving it blank on edit preserves the existing password.
confirm the correct patient portal account is linked to the correct patient record (one portal account per patient).
