Recording Vitals

Nurses, Clinicians vitals blood-pressure monitoring mood

Vitals Monitoring (?page=vitals) tracks blood pressure, pulse, temperature, SpO₂, weight, mood, and any clinic-defined custom vital types over time for a patient.

Step-by-step

  1. Open a patient's record and go to the Vitals tab, or go to Vitals and select a patient.
  2. Choose Entry to log a new reading, selecting the vital type(s) and entering values.
  3. Switch to Overview to see trends/history across previous entries.

Permissions

Requires record_vitals to log entries; viewing is part of the patient record.

Common issues & fixes

the underlying database tables haven't been migrated yet; an admin needs to run the provided migration script, then reload the page.
custom vital types are configured separately; ask an admin if you need a new one added.
