Head pharmacists drug-master catalog pharmacy-inventory

Drug Master (pharmacy/pages/drugs.php) is the pharmacy's master catalog of every drug it stocks — name, generic name, drug class, brand, manufacturer, and configuration like reorder level. Editing requires the drugs.edit permission.

Step-by-step

  1. Go to Drug Master.
  2. Add/edit a drug: drug name, generic name, drug class, brand, manufacturer, and other catalog fields.
  3. Set a reorder level — used to flag low stock on the dashboard and reports.
  4. Save.
  5. Click into any drug for its full Drug Detail page (complete history and stock information).

Common issues & fixes

requires drugs.edit.
check the reorder level setting; it may be set higher than actually needed for that drug's usage pattern.
check generic name vs. brand name; the catalog distinguishes them deliberately since the same generic can have multiple brands.
