About the Journal

Mental and physical health are deeply interconnected dimensions of human well-being. Increasing evidence highlights the bidirectional relationship between psychological disorders and systemic medical conditions, emphasizing the need for holistic and interdisciplinary approaches in healthcare. Conditions such as depression, anxiety, stress-related disorders, metabolic syndrome, chronic pain, cardiovascular disease, autoimmune illnesses, and neuropsychiatric disorders illustrate the complex interaction between the brain, body, behavior, and environment.
This special issue, “The Body–Mind Link”, aims to explore contemporary research, clinical perspectives, and innovative therapeutic approaches addressing the interface between mental and physical health. The issue welcomes contributions from psychiatry, psychology, neuroscience, behavioral medicine, psychosomatic medicine, public health, and allied disciplines.
